Certified Asset Recovery Specialist®, (C.A.R.S.®)
National Training and Certification Program

In 1999, the Certified Asset Recovery Specialist® National Certification Program (C.A.R.S.®) program was published and introduced to the collateral recovery industry. Since then it has been placed into the hands of recovery agents in 42 states. It has received endorsements from industry leaders, insurance carriers, and attorneys.

On June 5, 2002, the Certified Asset Recovery Specialist® National Certification Program received approval by the Florida Department of State and the Florida Division of Licensing, allowing it's use as an alternative to their state required 40 hour classroom training.

The C.A.R.S.® Certification Program is designed to educate the professional collateral recovery specialist in the many laws effecting the industry, potential liability situations, ethics and professional conduct, insurance needs, forms necessary for the business, skiptracing, the collateral recovery process and a Glossary of terms. The program consists of 11 sections, contained in an attractive, durable, 3 ring binder.

The C.A.R.S.® Program is designed as a distance learning course. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, and a score of at least 80% on the final exam, the graduate will receive a wall size Certificate of Completion and a wallet size certificate attesting to their recognition as a consummate professional. Graduates of the program will be listed on our website Agent Locator for the convenience of lending institutions who prefer to use certified professionals. The graduate will also be allowed to use the C.A.R.S.® Logo on all business advertising and correspondence.

Written as a national program, two other versions are currently available; California and Florida. Included in these two editions are the state statutes regulating those states. We are in the process of gathering the information pertaining to licensing in Nevada and will soon have a version for that state as well. As other states enact laws regulating repossessors, we will custom design programs for them.
